The Board of Directors of New Ulm Telecom (OTC:NULM.OB) declared a 4th quarter dividend in the amount of $.10 per share. The dividend will be paid to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 5, 2008 and will be payable on December 15, 2008.

Alaska Communications Systems Group (Nasdaq:ALSK, "ACS") has announced the relocation and opening of a new retail store in Homer. The store, located at 3546 Greatland Street, will serve customers starting on Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving.
Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the store will feature ACS' latest phones and accessories. To mark the traditional start of the holiday shopping season, ACS is offering special discounts on select PDAs, smart phones and other wireless devices, including $50 off a BlackBerry(R) Pearl or Curve for new customers. Some phone models will be discounted by as much as 50 percent with activation.
"Our new investments in fiber optics, retail stores and advanced wireless solutions make ACS the intelligent choice for Alaska's Enterprise clients and individual customers. We look forward to meeting their diverse and growing telecom needs in 2009 and beyond," said Sheldon Fisher, senior vp, Sales and Service.
ACS' existing Homer store at 205 Main Street will close on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

HickoryTech Corporation (Nasdaq:HTCO) announced that it has purchased 93,000 shares of its own common stock for $519,000 in a block transaction handled through a market maker. The Company has purchased a total of 393,000 shares of its common stock in November for a total purchase price of $2,362,000.
"Current market conditions presented an opportunity for us to demonstrate our confidence in the company while adding value to our shareholders," said John Finke, president and chief executive officer at HickoryTech.
HickoryTech will have 12,974,000 shares outstanding after the November transactions. The Company has no formal share repurchase plan and has no plans to purchase any additional shares in 2008.

Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Nasdaq:SHEN, "ShenTel") announces that Ann E. Flowers has joined the Company as general counsel, vice president- legal. In this position, Ms. Flowers will serve as the chief legal officer of the ShenTel organization.
Ms. Flowers has 25 years of legal experience, primarily representing telecommunications, media and technology clients. She most recently was Of Counsel in the Washington, DC office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and was previously with Hogan & Hartson in Washington, DC.
