Integra Selects ADTRAN for Ethernet Services

Source: ADTRAN Press Release

ADTRAN, Inc., (Nasdaq:ADTN), a provider of next-generation networking solutions, announced that Integra Telecom, a provider of business-grade networking, communications and cloud solutions, has partnered with ADTRAN to bolster its Ethernet Services portfolio expansion. Integra is deploying the ADTRAN Total Access 5000 to bring Ethernet Services to nearly 300 central offices using Ethernet over TDM (EoTDM) technology. The deployment of EoTDM, a key element of ADTRAN's broader Carrier Ethernet access portfolio, ensures that virtually every business throughout Integra's service territory can now receive carrier-grade business Ethernet service regardless of their proximity to fiber or copper DSL.

Integra selected the ADTRAN Total Access 5000 in order to extend Ethernet service to businesses beyond the limited reach of alternative DSL copper products. The flexibility of the ADTRAN platform helps Integra greatly increase its addressable market for Ethernet Services, with support for Ethernet over direct fiber, optical wavelengths (C/DWDM), copper (e.SHDSL, ADSL2+, VDSL2), SONET, and TDM (DS1/E1, DS3). Given Integra's extensive fiber- and copper-based network infrastructure, the multi-service access capabilities of the Total Access 5000 enables the carrier to serve more customers faster, while the common platform allows Integra to scale its growing network more easily.
