Georgia-based cable operator Knology announced on January 10 that it had acquired Tampa-based data center operator E Solutions for $13.8m in cash. Knology gains two colocation facilities in the deal, marking Knology’s first step into data centers. The company currently operates the Pinellas Park cable system nearby its newly acquired facilities. From a financial perspective, including its estimated tax benefits, Knology expects the deal to be accretive on a cash flow multiple valuation.
