Zayo Group announced on March 21 that it had entered into an agreement to acquire Mid-Michigan’s largest fiber optic service provider Arialink for $18m. The deal comes close on the heels of its $2.2b acquisition of AboveNet which was announced just two days earlier. Zayo adds 900 fiber route miles to its growing network with the purchase, paying a multiple of $20,000 per route mile. Adam Brissette takes a look at the latest deal in Zayo's cart.
